Recently I learned more about being present. Being present to truly enjoy the moment, capturing who I am and what I am doing in that moment. Living life seems to be a mad house lately; focused on where we want to be or just getting by through the everyday movements, without realising that we may miss important moments.
This morning I opened a great book by Julia Cameron ‘The Artist’s Way’ and read:
“Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.”
Eddie Cantor
Love how the Universe works and gives us messages and presents!
Yesterday I walked my beautiful dogs in Sydney Park and saw these fragrant little fluffy flowers, mimosa. I stopped, smelled the flowers and felt a sense of satisfaction and affirmation I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing and everything is ok. This grounded me and I felt ready to walk consciously with the dogs, taking in every moment of the beautiful park, my walk, the energies around me, dogs, people and life itself.
My invitation to you:
Where in your life are you rushing? How can you slow down or even stop for a minute or two? Ask: where are you? who are you? what are you doing? what is happening in this moment?
You get to discover what you can shift to be truly present and enjoy every moment. It is fun, exciting and balancing!
As my friend Fotini Koklas says: Being present, delivers you presents.
Enjoy your beautiful day, moments and presents.
